Ranjiv co-founded Aquaya in 2005 following an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Fellowship with the Office of the Science and Technology Advisor to the U.S. Secretary of State.
In addition to his responsibilities as Executive Director, Ranjiv serves on the Management Board of the Aquatest program: an international consortium, led by the University of Bristol in the UK and supported by a $13 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, that is dedicated to developing and delivering an effective, low-cost test for fecal contamination of water in developing countries.
Ranjiv holds degrees from the Universities of California at Davis and Santa Cruz, and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre National de Recherché Scientifique in Paris, France.
